In a major government reshuffle, 25 IAS officers, including two district collectors, have been transferred. Significant changes have also been made in the energy department.
IAS Subodh Agarwal, currently the Additional Chief Secretary for Mines and Petroleum, has been given the added responsibility of overseeing the energy department.
Meanwhile, Bhaskar Sawant, who was the Principal Secretary for Agriculture and Cooperatives, has been appointed as the Chairman and Managing Director of the electricity distribution companies (Discoms).
