The foundation of the GVK Group was laid by Ganapati Venkata Krishna Reddy, popularly known as GVK. He is also the Chairman of the GVK Group. The company has made investments worth ₹25,000 crore, with proposed projects worth ₹17,000 crore in India. Under the PPP (Public-Private Partnership) model, GVK has achieved several milestones, including building India’s first independent power plant, the first six-lane road project, and a brownfield airport.
GVK Group operates in various sectors, including hotels, airport development, power plants, 108 ambulance services, and road projects. It is counted among the top infrastructure companies in India. The company’s headquarters are in Hyderabad, Telangana. While GVK himself serves as the Chairman, his son, Sanjay Reddy, is the Vice Chairman.
