IAS Subodh Agarwal Appointed as Chairman of Indira Gandhi Panchayati Raj Institute

Senior IAS officer Subodh Agarwal from the Rajasthan cadre has been appointed as the Chairman of the Indira Gandhi Panchayati Raj Institute in Jaipur. According to a recent transfer order by the Rajasthan government, IAS Subodh Agarwal has been assigned this new responsibility. Until now, he was serving as the Additional Chief Secretary in the Public Health Engineering and Groundwater Department, Water Resources Department, and State Water Resources Planning Department of Rajasthan.

Subodh Agarwal IAS, originally from Uttar Pradesh, has held several important positions in the Rajasthan cadre. With experience in 40 different roles during his service, Agarwal is considered highly versatile. His family hails from Uttar Pradesh, but he completed his schooling at Scindia School in Gwalior. After studying at Scindia School from 1977 to 1983, he passed his 12th grade and was selected for IIT. In 1983, he joined IIT Delhi to pursue Civil Engineering and began preparing for civil services. He cleared the civil services examination in 1988 and was allotted the Rajasthan cadre.
