In his speech at the event, IAS Subodh Agarwal explored the evolution of AI, especially focusing on how AI, with tools like ChatGPT, has reached a crucial turning point. AI is no longer just used for simple tasks like paying bills or booking tickets. It now shows abilities once thought to be unique to humans, such as creating language, making art, and even writing poetry. Dr. Agarwal said, "The development of tools like ChatGPT shows that something major has changed, and this is just the beginning."
He pointed out a big shift in how we view AI. "Earlier, it was believed that AI would never surpass humans because it lacked consciousness and emotions. But now, with AI mastering language and creativity, the gap between humans and machines is getting smaller," said IAS Subodh Agarwal.
